Friday, September 30th, 2016 was Saint-Lambert International’s first annual Orange Shirt Day, a Canada-wide commemoration event for the victims and survivors of Indigenous Residential Schools.
For the past couple of weeks, students and staff members at Saint-Lambert International have been learning about Canada’s distressful legacy of residential schools. Our school's participation in Orange Shirt Day represents a first step in recognition of the experiences of survivors and our collective commitment to truth and reconciliation.
All students and staff members were invited to participate in the spirit of healing by wearing orange on Friday, September 30th. See the incredible turnout in the photo below!
